Obituary

Begona Da Silva, 91, of Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away February 11, 2023, at Cross Creek assisted living & memory care in Lee’s Summit, MO. A mass will be dedicated to her on Sunday February 19th at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lee’s Summit, There will be a private graveside service at a date yet to be determined.

Mrs. Da Silva was born in Palencia, Spain on July 4th, 1931. She had lived in Santiago Chile before moving to the United States with her late spouse Higino Da Silva and her two daughters in 1971. She was a seamstress for Jack Henry’s on the Plaza for over 20 years.

She leaves behind her two daughters, Carmen Da Silva and Isabel, (Liz), Hancock, Son-in-law Terry Hancock, 4 grandchildren, Lauren Krankenberg, her spouse Tye Krankenberg, Stephen Hancock, Thomas Hancock, Gina Ramirez. 3 great grandchildren, Bentley Hancock, Brooks and Kennedy Krankenberg.

The family would like to thank all of the staff at Cross Creek in Lee’s Summit for the professional and compassionate care they gave to my mother. Also, in lieu of flowers the family would like you to donate to her favorite charity, Saint Jude.
