Obituary

Benjamin Roy Carter, age 92, of Lees Summit, MO, passed away October 29, 2023 at Addington Place. A memorial service will be on Thursday, November 9^th, at 5 p.m. at Langsford Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m

.Mr. Carter was born on March 22, 1931, in Washington D.C. He graduated from Central High School in 1951, then served in the Marine Corp for two years. He was employed at Western Electric Company in Lees Summit for 28 years.

After retirement from Western Electric, he volunteered at Lees Summit Hospital for many years. He was an active member of United Methodist Church

. His greatest joy in life was his family, which included his wife of 62 years, Patricia Luppens Carter, and his children, Jeffrey Carter and his wife, Vicky; David Carter and his wife, Kathleen; Cathy Whited; and Rick Carter and his wife, Alisa. He is survived by his sisters in law, Valeaira Luppens and Pearl Chambers. He was grandfather to ten and great-grandfather to eight.
