Obituary

Betty Fae Jones, aged 76 years, of Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away on April 15, 2021. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church in Lee’s Summit, MO on Thursday, April 22nd. Burial will be at Lee’s Summit Historical Cemetery immediately following Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to Birthright of Greater Kansas City in lieu of flowers.

Betty Fae Jones was born on April 10, 1945 in Superior, NE. She married Larry Wray Jones on July 25, 1964. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker known for her sharp wit and for always putting the needs of others before her own. She was preceded in death by her husband Larry, her infant son Eric Lee Jones; brother, David Gerstner; daughter-in-law, Julie Ann Jones; and granddaughter, Jacey Fae Hudson. Survivors include her four children, Kevin Jones, Jason Jones, Kristi Hudson, Adam Jones and their spouses, 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and a brother and two sisters. Betty will be remembered by those she touched for her love of family, generosity, sharp wit and selflessness.

Will miss Aunt Betty and Moose. I remember my early years growing up, always looking forward to seeing Uncle Larry’s and Aunt Betty’s kids. Sure miss all of you, hoping you take comfort in knowing that Betty is at peace now in a better place. Take care, love you all.
