Betty Mae Wright, 89, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2019 at her home. A Rosary will start at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Our Lady of Presentation Catholic Church in Lee’s Summit, followed by a visitation. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Lee’s Summit Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
Betty was born on October, 29, 1929 in Sedalia, Missouri. She was a member of Our Lady of Presentation Catholic Church along with being an avid entrepreneur of various slot machines.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Luther Wright in 1987. She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Doss; son, Larry Wright; sister, Shirley Collins; grandson, Brett Beeman; grandson, Brandon Beeman; granddaughter, Michelle; granddaughter, Jessica; 7 great grandchildren; and her beloved step granddaughters, Sara Faris and Roxanne Day.
My sincerest condolences to Betty’s family. Marsha and I have been friends since we were kids and I remember Betty and her happy spunky manner. She was always a joy to talk with. The years have gone by fast. I know Betty is in a beautiful place. And you know I am always here for you Marsh. Rest in Betty.
