Obituary
Brandon E. Cunningham, 49, died unexpectedly August 29, 2025, at his home. Cremation has taken place per his request. A celebration of life will be held in his hometown at a later date.
Brandon was born February 23rd, 1976 and adopted by Clarence and Vera (James) Cunningham and raised in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Brandon attended Scottsbluff High School and has had many job experiences over the years. He lived in Scottsbluff for 41 years where he met his wife Wendy and they celebrated 21 years of marriage in April. Together they owned High Plains Spas in Nebraska, LOTO Sales & Service in Missouri, and most recently KC Outdoor Furniture in Missouri. Brandon and Wendy moved back to Missouri to be closer to their two grandchildren. Brandon looked forward to helping his grandson play sports and drive his ride-on pickup. He enjoyed being outdoors and would go fishing and boating any chance he could. You could always count on him to be cheering on the Huskers (Go Big Red). He enjoyed taking his golden retriever Jax along for his adventures.
Brandon was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Vera (James) Cunningham and Mo (yellow labrador). He is survived by his wife Wendy (Trackwell) Cunningham of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; his daughter Liz and her husband Tayler of Kansas City, Missouri; his grandchildren Hudson and Hayden; Aunt Helen Welty (Cunningham) and her sons, Lloyd Jr. (Amy) and their family, and Bryan (Mary) and their children; Aunt Phyllis (Dennis) Tuzicka and their family.
I am going to miss Brandy immensely. He was such a fun, loving guy! Loved our houseboat adventures with he and Wendy and our Cove family. He and I shared the same birthday date. I was looking forward to wishing him the big one! Rest in peace, my dear friend. ❤️
Wendy,
We are so sorry for your loss. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Brandon was a great guy and we enjoyed the time we spent with you guys in the Ozark’s. We will never forget him.
I knew Brandon and Amy during their times at LOTO, they were a wonderful couple and you couldn’t ask for two wonderful people. Brandon was a hard worker and loved his Mo who went everywhere with him. So sorry to hear of his passing, Wendy you are in our thoughts and prayers!!! Please reach out if we can help with anything! So sad to hear this, may Brandon rest in peace! Gone to soon but never forgotten!
Brandon was a fun filled charismatic person, I always enjoyed his personality. He was always very kind and helpful to others. I’m very grateful to have known him. Rest in peace my friend.
Thinking of you man ❤️
Wendy & family,
We are so sorry for your loss. We first met Brandon when he was a teenager and was our neighbor. Had lots of great laughs with him during the early 1990’s and we were proud of his success. He will be missed. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
