Obituary

BRENDA G. BECKLEY

Brenda Beckley, 72, died peacefully at home on January 27, 2025, surrounded by family after a long, hard-fought battle. She was born August 10, 1952, in Kansas City MO. Brenda graduated from Ruskin High school in 1970. There she met and later married her high school sweetheart Clark Beckley. They spent more than 53 years celebrating a wonderful life together. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and especially spoiling her three grandsons. An avid sports fan, Brenda cheered loudly for the Kansas City Royals and even louder for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Brenda was predeceased by her father, Robert E. White and her mother Rosemary Shumate (Balke). She is survived by her husband Clark of Lee’s Summit MO, son Rob and his wife Jennifer of Kansas City, son Ryan and his wife Ksusha and their son Aleksandr of Overland Park, and son Joey and his wife Andrea and their two boys Jacob and Britton of Lee’s Summit. She is also survived by sisters Sandra Shaffner of Blue Springs and Barbara Mosley of Clinton MO. She has many loving cousins, nieces and nephews including quite an entourage from Warsaw, MO, where she spent many happy summers as a young girl.

The family would like to give a special thanks for all the support these last few months and express sincere appreciation for the loving care Brenda received from hospice services.

A service of remembrance will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday February 6, at Langsford Funeral Home, 115 SW 3rd Street, Lee’s Summit MO 64063. A private burial ceremony will be held at Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery in Higginsville MO. My condolences to you Dr. Beckley and your family. I had the pleasure of spending time with Brenda at many Cleveland Chiropractic College events. She was such a joy to be around and very funny. I was privileged to sing at Ryan’s wedding when Brenda and Dr. Beckley asked me and Sean. She will be missed by so many. Love you guys and you’re in my prayers.🙏🏿💔 Wish I could be there but know I’m thinking of you all the way in California.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Brenda. She was so kind to everyone she interacted with, especially at SSJBA. To all the Beckley’s, my thoughts and prayers go out to you.

Our hearts are with you. We know you were a good son to the end, and she raised a good one. Sending love to you and your family.
