Storm (& Family of Hunter Wheeler)
My heart breaks for the loss of your son Hunter. I cannot imagine the pain and loss you must feel. There are no words to ease your grief and make sense of the loss of such a loved young man, just know that you are not alone and I will pray for your family to find strength and eventually peace in your grief.
Dearest Storm & Lance,
There are no words as to how sorry Rick & I are at the loss of your beloved son Hunter. You both worked so hard to make sure he could live a wonderful & productive life. Situations like these make no sense. Just know you both are very much loved – not only by Rick & me, but hundreds of others as well. You two are some of the finest, most delightful people we know & we have many years to know this. May you all be joined together in the heaven. I have many family & friends that I know are waiting for me. I look forward to being with my dad again. Much love, Toni & Rick
To whoever cares,
I can’t keep my eyes dry. He was the best friend to me and I believe a better person to society. I wish I could have done more for him. Hunter bro I can’t believe you’re gone. It really hasn’t made sense to me. I loved and cared for Hunter so much like he was a brother of mine. I’ll stop being so torn up by this at some point but this doesn’t help the world. I always thought Hunter could do something like that. He really still deserves to be here. I love you bro and I’ll never forget your compassion and ability to be such a positive force. You will forever be missed.
I hope to see you again
I’m so incredibly saddened to hear about Hunter! I’m truly at a loss for words right now.

Our hearts are truly broken for Hunter’s family and friends. It’s so hard to understand why and we pray that the Lord will comfort you and hold you so close during this unfathomable loss. Hunter’s smile was so bright and his legacy will live on as a fighter. God gained another gentle soul and warrior … gone too soon but never forgotten. Although the grief and heartache will never go away, we pray that the comfort of knowing that he has transitioned from earth to his permanent and beautiful beyond imagination heavenly home will help his family as they grieve their beloved Hunter. We will continue to pray for you every day. Deepest sympathies for your beautiful boy.
Dear Storm and Family-
I’m so very sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine the pain you must be suffering. May God bless your sweet mother’s soul.

I had the privilege meeting hunter through working at Titan. Anytime there was overtime at Union Station or if he was in the neighborhood of union station, he would stop by to visit with the stationary officers. I remember him being brave, great leader, goofy and all around a good person. He always went out of his way to help others and I respected that a lot. He was good at cheering others up and would inspire officers to be their very best. It breaks my heart to hear what happened and I wanted to send my condolences🙏🏻 I found out today, scrolling through Facebook while at work.. RIP Wheeler, you will be truly missed.
My condolences to his entire family our first met Hunter at the Titan office in Overland Park. We were the first to show up for orientation and training. We ended up qualifying together at both the Titan and KPD range and then both ended up at Union Station for a time and then met up with them again at KCATA When I ended up stationing there I don’t genuinely find a lot of people I wish to hang out with and I have no doubt if I was younger and I would hang out a lot as we have similar interest and he is definitely an all-around good guy. I’m sorry his life ended at such a young age. I will miss talking with him and see how he interacted with other people. It was a pleasure to know him, and I will always consider him a friend.
I just want you to know how much I LOVE YOUR SON! and I am so sorry! He was always so nice and respectful! I remember when he was my supervisor on the job OMG I just fell in love with him! And how can you not with such a handsome man and a soul to match! Wheeler is definitely someone I always look for when I’m out and about either in my car or if I’m having car troubles and have to get on the bus OMG I used to always look forward to seeing my friend today I finally said “Where’s Wheeler?” An when I was told my heart sunk, I’m so deeply sorry for your loss and he will forever be in my heart, may God bless you all -Jaymee
I’m so very sorry to hear of your loss. Losing a child is one of the most difficult things you will go through, trust me, I know. Talk to him…he can hear you. Love to all.
