Obituary

Carole Elizabeth Lohmeyer, 87, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away Tuesday September 19, 2023. Carole was Born December 22, 1936, in Johnson City, Tennessee. 

 She is proceeded in death by her husband Jim of 61 years, mother and father Emma & Luther Garland, grandson Daniel Lohmeyer, great granddaughter Jade Karriker, Her sister Nancie Chevalier, her brother James Louis, daughter in law Kris Lohmeyer. Survived by her sons. Bob (Michelle) Bill and Andy Lohmeyer. Her sisters Jean Garland, Dorthea Crosthwait (Jerry) grandchildren Sam (Kelsey), Jake (Taylor), Luke (Sarah)and Justin (Kelsey) Lohmeyer, Jessica Karriker (Grant), Leslie Doolin, Carolyn Macan, Lisa Ramsour and Christy Cothren.  Great grandchildren, Vincent, Weston, Edith, Elenor, Sophia, Jameson, Bentley, Elsie, Leksi, Johnny, Baylee, Nathan, Brody, Bo, Brooklynn, Gracy and Kelby.  

 Carole spent 50 years being a nurse, when she wasn’t taking care of her patients, she was an avid reader, she loved celebrating each holiday and loved her family very much! 

Services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 22, 2023 at Our Lady of Presentation. Visitation 5:00 -7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Langsford Funeral Home, Lees Summit, MO, with the reading of the Rosary at 5pm. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to Ascend Hospice.

Condolences to the family. I knew Carole at Our Lady of the Presentation Parish, working closely with her through St Joseph Guild activities, preparing and serving funeral lunches, decorating for our annual Christmas dinners and such.
She always spoke with such love for her family. I know she will be missed by all.
