Obituary

Carolyn Reynolds, 73, formerly of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away December 10, 2021. Mass services will be 10:00AM Friday, December 17, 2021 at Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church, Lee’s Summit, MO. A rosary will be said at 4:30 pm Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Langsford Funeral Home with a visitation following from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Carolyn was a dedicated Catholic and always shared her love in many ways. She was gracious and kind and she loved to spend time with family. Her beautiful smile and cheerful attitude would always make you feel very special. She would carry money in her pocket to give to anyone who did something for her. This was not done to win points but simply to let you know that your time and efforts meant everything to her.

She delighted in attending any family, recital, art show, play production, baptism, confirmation, birthdays, wedding, or just a Friday fish fry at church. To savor the moment, she always brought her trusty camera. From her first Kodak to her cell phone, she always had a description written on the back of the photo and a photo album to distribute to the attendees.

Carolyn loved to plant flowers in the spring and summer and decorate for the seasons. Her favorite time of year was Christmas, and her collection of snowmen and angels would lighten up her space. At family gatherings she was the first one to show up with trays of food. She would help set up & clean up just so that she got to spend time with individuals. She enjoyed listening to all the new stories or events going with everyone.

Many say she would never leave anyone empty handed because she only wanted to give and give lovingly. A true angel in the hearts of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by parents, George & Helen Moore, and her brothers, George Wayne, Raymond, and Brian Moore.

Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Mark & Laura Reynolds, siblings, nine sisters, and two brothers, along with countless nieces and nephews.

Any words I use in this reflection can not begin to do this wonderful, loving and kind woman, justice. Whenever Carolyn was around me and my family it was always a cause for joy and celebration. She brought love and joy to all she encountered. She truly was the personification of what it means to be a Christian woman. Fortunately, she passed on all her good qualities to her son Mark, who is very much like his mother, “always trying to make life better for others no matter it costs him. A tribute to his upraising by Carolyn. The heavens shine a little brighter with its newest star to illuminate the earth. Carolyn, you will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved you.

My heart aches for you Mark and Laura. I know Your Mother/mother-in-law’s leaving this earthly home to live in her Heavenly home will leave a hole in your heart. Know she is with her Father and basking of God’s glory.
Love you two and will keep you in our prayers.

I will miss Carolyn. Years ago when the March of dimes was a 20 mile walk I would end up meeting her along the way. This happened year on year and made my bond with her stronger. To see her at the family gatherings with pink hair and a willing smile was
something to look forward to. I will always remember her and try to live up yo her example. Love you Carolyn and rest in peace.

Carolyn was such a gentle soul who would light up the room with her beautiful smile. She was always kind and interested in what you we’re doing. She truly loved family and friends and going to so many of their events. We have a new special angel in heaven watching over us, but you will be sorely missed by all! I send my love and prayers to all the Moore family, Mark, Laura, and all extended family.

Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers are with you right now. May we all live by her example. Mark, you have many of her qualities, so her legacy lives on through you. Peace be with you and your family.

Carolyn was a woman who truly loved unconditionally. Being gay I’ve always been scared of rejection by my own family…Carolyn always made me feel loved and accepted. She was so sweet and thoughtful to everyone around her she is someone, no doubt, who has left us but will never be forgotten. Her legacy and warm smile will live within my heart forever. When I feel impatient or selfish I will remember her kindness and will pass on the love she gave me to others.

We are saddened we could not be there with you today to rejoice in the celebration of life of Carolyn. Mark we will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Carolyn you will be greatly missed
Thank you for being the most loving, beautiful and amazing sister. You were the perfect example of 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.
On a side note: I would like my family to know my friends at visitation and rosary were not only my friends but your prayer Warriors they are the ones that I turn to when you all ask for prayers your names are written on there prayer list and journals. They ask there priest and church family to pray for you.
Carolyn knew them by coming to all the events I have had.
We our blessed to have such a
Awsome circle of pray Warriors.
and I know Carolyn was thankful for all the prayers said for her.
God thank you for giving us Carolyn.

Dear Adrian and family,
We are so sorry for the loss of your sister Caroline. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all🙏. May your sweet memories of her comfort you, and may she rest in God’s peace now.
