Obituary

Cecil L. Mais, 99, formally of Lake Winnebago, MO passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018, three months shy of his 100th birthday. Visitation will be Monday, March 26 at Langsford Funeral Home from 5-7pm. Funeral services will be Tuesday March 27, 2018 at 10am with burial to follow in Sedalia, MO.

Cecil was born June 16, 1918 in Post Oak, Missouri. He was number seven of ten children. He married Bertha May Moon in June, 1940. They had two children, Carol and Bob. Cecil served in the Army Air Corp during WWII. He was a mason, a member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say, and the Lake Winnebago Lions Club. He was also a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Cecil worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. for thirty three years.

Cecil is preceded in death by his wife, Bertha and his daughter, Carol. Survivors include his son, Bob (Penny); grandchildren, Carl (Pam) Stratton, Robyn (Gabe) Mais-Meyer, Alan (Kathleen) Mais; and seven great-grandchildren, Kennedi, Blake, Samantha, Maggie, Amelia, Jonah, and Suzie.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Children’s Mercy Hospital.

Interment location: Highland Sacred Gardens
