Obituary
Cecilia Marie (Cecil) Linnenbrink, 90, Lee’s Summit, MO met Jesus early on Sunday morning, April 11, 2021. She was reunited with the only love of her life, Bernard James (Jim) Linnenbrink, Sr., who also met Jesus 40 years earlier on April 11, 1981.
Cecilia was born to Cecilia Marie (Vohs) and Samuel Louis Guerrant on July 17, 1930 in Kansas City, MO. Cecilia graduated from Southeast High School in 1947 and attended college in Phoenix, Arizona. After her return, one warm summer evening, she reconnected with Jim, whom she’d known since grade school. Cecilia Marie Guerrant married Bernard James Linnenbrink, Sr. on November 3, 1951. Cecilia loved her family more than anything, and was a devoted homemaker. She shared that love in the beautiful quilts she made and gave away to her immediate and extended family. In addition, Cecilia never missed a Chiefs or Royals game, as she was one of their greatest fans. Cecilia was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
An inspiration to us all, Cecilia touched every life she came in contact with in a style all her own; one of kindness, grace, mercy and forgiveness. As her children, it has been our greatest honor and privilege to call her Mom.
Cecilia was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Bernard James Linnenbrink, Sr.; parents, Samuel Louis Guerrant and Cecilia Marie Vance; brother, Louis Arnold Guerrant; and sister, Mary Jo Gorman.
Survivors include her sister, Elizabeth A. (Betty) Edwards; her children, Bernard J. Linnenbrink, Jr., Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina; Margaret A. (Margie) Brumble (Noel); Lee’s Summit, MO; Gregory J. Linnenbrink (Jennifer), Grain Valley, MO; her grandchildren, B.J. Linnenbrink (Monica); Carissa A. Flynn (Rob); Matthew Linnenbrink; Joshua D. Fuller (Sara); Travis J. Fuller (Aislinn); her great grandchildren, Logan R. Flynn, Conor D. Flynn, Haley J. Flynn, Bernard J. (James) Linnenbrink, IV,; 4 step-grandchildren and 5 step-great grandchildren.
