Obituary

Christine M. Copeman, 78 of Kansas City, MO passed away at Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care in Kansas City on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.

Chris was an organ donor and chose cremation.

Chris was preceded in death by her Mother Vivian Copeman, Father Herbert Copeman, her Brother Herbert, Jr. and her Cousin Kathleen Tuttle.

She also leaves her Cousin Barbara Sangetta, Husband Sam, and Nephew, Nick of Colorado and her Niece Kerry Tuttle. Chris also leaves her best friend Suzi Williams since the 8th grade. Suzi’s son Chuck who was like a son to Chris and their families. She also leaves her good friend Suzanne Zook.

Chris leaves many friends who were more like family who will miss her very much. She also leaves her precious cat Pretty Girl with her close friend Annette Turnbaugh who had given her to Chris.

Chris worked her entire career at BMA (Business Men’s Assurance Co.). After retirement at 55, she was employed as a sample worker at Costco for several years. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later time.
