Obituary
Clarence Earl Perkins, 98, of Clinton, Missouri passed away January 17, 2025. Services will be held at Langsford Funeral Home, 115 SW 3rd Street, Lee’s Summit, Missouri on Friday, January 24, 2025 with visitation from 11:00 am to Noon and funeral beginning at Noon. Burial immediately following at the Lee’s Summit Historical Cemetery. Clarence “Perky” was born March 21, 1926 in Macon County, Missouri to Holly and Leona (Christal) Perkins. He lived in Kansas City and Lee’s Summit areas since 1944 except for four years, 1983-1987, in Windsor, Missouri then moving back to Lee’s Summit in 1987. Clarence spent the last 6 years residing in Clinton, Missouri.
He was a United States Army veteran of World War II. He worked for General Motors at Leeds, Missouri from 1947 to 1978. Clarence was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lee’s Summit.
Clarence was preceded in death by his wife of 75 years Mary Perkins; his parents Holly and Leona Perkins; sister Frances Burnett; four brothers Delbert, Mitchell, Orval and Clifford; and son-in-law Gene Koenig.
Clarence is survived by daughters Glenda Koenig of Clinton, Missouri and Sheryl (Bill) Palmer of Ohio; grandchildren Michelle Blevins, Lisa Blevins, Mike (Annie) Koenig, Trista (Shedrick) McClenton, Zachary (Claire) Palmer and Samuel Palmer; 14 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren; plus nieces, nephews and their families.
