Obituary
Diana Jean Witte, 67, of Lee’s Summit, MO, left this world and entered the eternal Saturday, November 3, 2018, after an 11-year battle with Multiple Myeloma.
Diana was born on June 23, 1951, to Herbert and Cecilia (Rollo) Pierce in Kansas City, MO. She graduated from Ruskin H.S. and achieved her BS in Computer Science from Avila College. After growing up together, Diana married her high school sweetheart, Donald Roy Witte on May 28, 1971, in KC, MO. Diana worked as a computer programmer at DST and TransAmerica in KC before starting her own business, World Wide Internet Technologies, through which she built and maintained web pages from home.
Diana is preceded in death by her husband and parents. She is survived by her children: Teresa Treccariche (Joseph), David Witte, Melinda Thomas (Bryan), and Kristin Grubbs (Matthew); her grandchildren: Abbigail, Kaitlyn, Joshua, Madison, Caleb, Christian, Delaney, Jacob, and Lauren; her siblings: John Pierce (Lorraine) and Linda Ann Boone (Benjamin); and 9 nieces and nephews.
Though cancer weakened her body, it didn’t weaken her faith. Diane saw it as her God-given mission to share the love of Jesus with as many people as possible, not just in her daily life, but especially in her experiences as a cancer patient. She met and prayed for countless others suffering the pains of cancer. Her strength and resilience will be long-remembered. Diana’s family would like to share their deep gratitude for Home Instead Senior Care for providing top notch care for Diana in her last six months at home. The family would also like to thank Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care for the many ways they treated and cared for Diana.
