Obituary

Donald Jobe was born August 11, 1931 and passed away on March 27, 2025.

Donald was born in Eldon, MO and lived there until joining the navy in 1950. In 1977 he met and married Stella. They were happily married for 48 years.

During the War, he was a gunner on a ship off the coast of Korea. He received a medal for shutting down a transport rail which blocked shipments. Don was honorably discharged in September 1954.

After the war, Don moved to Kansas City to work for the Safeway Food stores (where he met and married Stella). After a few years he went to work for GM at the Leeds Plant in Kansas City. He worked there until he retired.

Stella and Don built a home at Lake Lotawana in 1977 where they were still living when he passed.  They purchased a second home in Victoria Palms in Donna, Texas. They spent many winters there, made lots of great friends, and drove around in their golf cart. Don enjoyed spending early mornings with his buddies in the club house drinking coffee and swapping lies!

Don was preceded in death by his mother, father, brother and daughter,. He leaves behind his wife, Stella, sons, Fred (Sue) and Jerome (Patricia). He also leaves 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

His graveside service will be at Floral Hills East at 2:00 pm Thursday April 3rd.

In lieu of flowers please donate to Harbor Hospice.

Don was a wonderful person with a kind heart and always ready to lend a helping hand to someone in need. We love you, Don, and will miss you everyday!

My dearest Aunt Stella,
George and I send you our love, prayers and hugs during this difficult time. We so wish we could be there with you and the family, however George is in the middle of eye injections for his Wet Macular Degeneration. He experiences pain after the injection for a week to 10 days. He had the injection yesterday. I have spoken with Anthony and I know he and most of his family will be there with you on Thursday. We will be there in spirit and we will be praying for you and the family. We love you, Deborah and George

Mom so very sorry for your loss. Don was a good man I am so happy you were able to share so many happy years with him.

Love
Vickie
