Obituary

Edward Gregory Hof, 64, of Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away on April 28, 2023. He was born in Kansas City, MO to Herbert and Carole Hof (Albertson).

He served in the US Navy on the USS Morton. He had careers in welding, automotive repairs, and with Ford Motor Assembly in Claycomo.

Edward is survived by his wife of 29 years, Brenda Hof (Smith). Their favorite activities were traveling to the beaches of Florida and Maui, Hawaii. He was a proud father of two sons, Hugh Kerr and Andrew Stewart and grandpa (Poppy) to twin granddaughters Asa and Aila Stewart. He also had a brother, Tom Stephens (Loree).

He is preceded in death by his sister Debbie Vandervort.

Those who knew Ed were aware of his love of fishing, morel mushroom hunting, and deer hunting. He loved the outdoors. He will be missed by family and many friends for his generosity to repair most anything. He was often known as “Mr. Fix It”.
