Obituary

Elaine M Burch passed away on March 8, 2023 at Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City Mo with her daughters by her side. Born in Philadelphia to John and Mildred Cutillo on July 5, 1939, Elaine was the youngest of 6 children. She moved to Missouri in 1961 and was a resident of Lee’s Summit for 60 yrs. Elaine was the beloved wife of 32 yrs to Frank Burch who had preceded her in death and was the love of her life. She was the loving Mother of Debbie (Terry)Sutherland and Janet Hunt. Cherished Maw Maw of Nicole, Ricky II, and Theron, cherished great grandmother of Brooklen Elaine, Ricky III, and Thalia Lee and was preceded in death by great grandson Ryland Sutherland. Mother has always been very proud of her siblings, she is survived by her brother Sonny John but preceded in death by his wife Grace, also preceded in death by her brother Guirino William, her sisters and their husbands, Angie (Pete), Delores (Andy), and Janice (Eddie). She loved all of her nieces and nephews too numerous to name. Mother also loved her dear friends Becky and Sharon. She was preceded in death by her best friend Mary. She always loved being on the lake whether it was fishing or just watching her family play in the water. She also loved traveling, garage sales, cook outs, playing cards, dancing, watching the Chiefs games, and the hallmark channel. Mother never knew a stranger and could always make you laugh with her spunky sense of humor. She was a strong, confident woman with a very sweet side and we will miss her deeply. We find great comfort in knowing our mother is now in Heaven with our Lord and Savior.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care House
