Obituary

Evelyn Fick, 92, of Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 15, 2023.

Evelyn was born on December 26, 1930 to Henry and Christina Brownsberger in Montrose, MO. After high school, Evelyn married Estle Fick in 1948. They had two children, Margaret and Larry. After Estle’s passing in 1974, Evelyn worked in a plastic’s factory until her retirement.

Evelyn enjoyed gardening, raising cactus, maintaining her home, and collecting elephants. She had a dry wit and a great sense of humor.  She was an amazing grandmother to Eric and Stephanie, who lovingly called her “Grimace”.

Evelyn was predeceased by her parents, six siblings, her son Larry Fick, and her great grandson, Brady Johnson. She is survived by her daughter, Margie Gilbertson, grandson Eric Gilbertson, granddaughter Stephanie Johnson (Brian), and four great grandchildren, Savannah & Brooklyn Gilbertson, Sawyer & Aubree Johnson.

Visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 21 at Langsford Funeral Home, 115 SW 3rd St, Lee’s Summit, MO 64063. Service will begin at 11 a.m. with burial immediately following. Flowers are welcome and appreciated.
