Obituary
Frank Irwin Calovich, of Lee’s Summit, passed away on February 6, 2023. He was born on Oct. 13, 1948 to the parents of George and Betty Calovich.
In his youth, he was an Eagle scout; the highest honor awarded from the Boy Scouts of America. He also served as a “runner” in the Micosay tribe
and received the religious award of Ad Altare Dei, as an altar boy.
He served in the Vietnam War in the 25th Infantry /army branch and received three purple hearts for valor. Following the war, he was a post commander of the DAV, Chapter 10, a loyal member of the VFW, post 1000 and of the American Legion, post 21.
He was a talented musician, performing in a BlueGrass/Country Rock group called,
” In the future” as a lead singer, guitarist and drummer.
He is survived by his wife, of 40 years, Theresa Calovich, his children; Audrey Calovich, Misti Cerra, Anthony Cerra and (wife) Audrey Cerra, his grandchildren; Alex and Cooper Cerra.
his sister, Kathy and (husband) Dwayne Evans.
Visitation and Services will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Langsford Funeral Home from 9:00am to 10:00am. Following visitation, burial will be held at 2:00pm at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery
at Higginsville.
