Obituary
Gene K. Foster, 69, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away on January 2, 2025. Gene was born June 7, 1955, in Kansas City, Missouri. and was raised in Liberty, Missouri. She graduated 1973 from Liberty High School and then graduated from Rockhurst University in 1977.
Gene worked as a federal bank examiner with the FDIC where she met her husband, Joseph. Other jobs were in the banking industry and finally with Chicago Title.
Gene was married to Joseph V. Foster on February 25, 1980. She was a devout Catholic and was active in parish ministries.
Gene was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 27 years, Joseph; a sister, Karen, and brother, Michael. She leaves behind one son, Brian (Kimberly) of Greenwood, Missouri, one stepson, Mark (Connie) of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; three grandchildren, Michaela, Jacob and Emily and one sister, Denise of Bend, Oregon.
No services are scheduled at this time. Memorial contributions in honor of Gene can be made to Rachel House in Independence, Missouri or Mother’s Refuge in Independence, Missouri.
