Obituary
Georgia Carolyn Richards, 82, of Lee’s Summit, MO., passed away on February 18, 2021. Georgia was born on October, 23, 1938 to George Todd and Louie France, in Detroit, MI.
Georgia met the love of her life and was united in Holy Matrimony with Donald Richards on June 17, 1961. Through this union, they were blessed with 3 children.
Georgia was always giving to others through her loving spirit and through charities of all kinds. She had a special place in her heart for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Loving on the inside and out doesn’t begin to describe the special lady Georgia was. Everyone who entered her space was made to feel special and loved.
Georgia was preceded in death by her son, Donald Richard Jr., her mother and father, Deacon George Todd France and Louie Phillips France, 3 sisters and 6 brothers.
Survivors include her loving husband, Donald Richards, daughters, Carrita Ann Richards and Denise Karim Hyatt (Delwyn), grandchild, II Spirit Hyatt, sisters; Mildred Braswell (Solomon), Sandra Clay (Louis), Theresa Mosley (Nathaniel) and Alice Rhodes, God-sister, AK and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions should be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Georgia’s honor.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 25, 2021, at True Vine Baptist Church, 2500 Belefontaine Ave, Kansas City, MO 64127. Burial at Floral Hills Kansas City.
