Obituary
Gilbert Dean Peterson, 85 of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away Feb. 19, 2019 at his home. Funeral will be 2:00pm Sat. Feb. 23, 2019 at Abundant Life Church with visitation prior from 1-2. Burial in Floral Hills East Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Abundant Life Church.
Mr. Peterson was born Aug. 23, 2019 in Kansas City, MO. He was married 60 years to Patricia Ann (Lemaster) Peterson. He worked 32 years for Mobil Oil Corporation. He was a charter member of Abundant Life Church as well as a Deacon for many years, he was a avid golfer and gardner. He loved spending time woodworking and spending time with his family.
Mr. Peterson was preceded in death by his wife Patricia A. Peterson, his parents Clyde and Zoe Peterson, his brothers Clayton Peterson and Cletus Peterson and his sister Beverly Ammon, his grandson Steven Daniel Peterson.
Survivors include three children Cheryl L. Johnson, Steven A. Peterson, JoAnn M. Jackson, 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Bill and I cherish our fond times visiting with Gilbert. He’s a kind gentle person in every way helping others. We had fun with our grandchildren growing up as he did. Enjoying great grandchildren too. Your a wonderful man to know and will be missed. With your loving wife, Pat, calling you with the Lord.
