Obituary
Harriet Rose Stone, 90 of Lee’s Summit, Mo., passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at John Knox Village Care Center. Services will be held at Langsford Funeral Home on Saturday, September 28, 2019. Visitation at 10:00 AM with Funeral following at 11:00 AM. Burial at Lee’s Summit Historical Cemetery.
Harriet was born on April 23, 1929 in Drexel, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her husband Howard L. Stone Sr. in 2006 and her 1st born son John Wayne Stone in May of 1952.
Survivors include her son Howard L. Stone Jr. (Vickie); daughter Sharon R. Leonard; 2 grandsons Scott R. Stone (Rachel), and Matheu T. Stone (Andrea). 2 great grandsons Brayden and Cason Stone and 2 great- grand daughters Brooke and Haven Stone.

Rest in peach Aunt Harriet. You were a bright and shining star in my life and you are remembered with deep love and affection and will be greatly missed. Yours was a life well lived and you rose to high levels of responsibility as the Human Resources Director for the large Insurance company in Kansas City. You lived through the great depression, put yourself through business school and led an exemplary life. I will miss receiving your weekly letters. We shared a special bond. Love and hugs.
