Obituary

Howard Dale Horner “Dale”, 95, of Overland Park, Kansas,  passed away January 1, 2025. Dale was born March 2, 1929, in Shawnee, Kansas.

He was mainly in sales. He owned several of his own businesses.

Dale was happiest when he was surrounded by his family. He loved getting together for the holidays and birthdays and having shuffleboard tournaments.

He and Donna also found a passion for Polka Dancing. They traveled around with a cherished group of friends attending many events around the country listening to their favorite group, The Brian McCarty band. Dale and Donna also were able to travel to places such as Europe and Alaska.

Dale was also an avid Kansas City Chiefs Fan. He and Donna were season ticket holders for 15 years. No matter the weather, they could be seen in their seats on gameday.

He was preceded in death by his wife Donna Dhone-Horner, his stepson Rod Dhone, his mother Jewel Horner, his father Harry Horner, and his brothers, Billy Horner, Gary Horner and David Wayne Horner.

He is survived by children Leslie Hendrickson, Steve Horner (Allison Cole), and Kelly Kromer; daughter-in law Nancy; grandchildren Alisha Stevens, Tony Ulberg (Susana), Becky Pellham (Kenny Kline), Alexis Moles (Michael), Lindsey Cole, Jake Kromer (Allison), Jillian Dhone, Travis Sloan (Ashley Wright) and Brett Kromer; great grandchildren Piper Stevens, Isabelle Stevens, Hunter Pellham, Carson Dhone-Wheeler, Lathan Miller, Dominik Searcy, Damyon Searcy, Travis Sloan Jr., Bentley Cole, Haisley Kline, Blakely Moles, Avery Kromer, Xavier Ulberg, Reagan Sloan, Adalynn Kromer.

A visitation will be Friday, January 17, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Langsford Funeral Home.
