Dear Linda and Scott,

We are just sick over losing Jack. Although first cousins, Steve and Jack were raised together and were more like brothers. We’ll miss his corny jokes, his great stories and our Weekly Breakfast that we’ve had with you for nearly 25 years. They always had fun playing “cars” together as kids and that continued into their adult years with their shared love of Street Rods. And, they got into plenty of trouble together but their Mom’s only saw perfect little angels. But, the rest of us know better!

He will be missed by so many. We loved him and are just so sorry for you and the rest of us.

Our heart felt condolences to Linda, Scott and other family members.
Jackie will be missed by all.🙏🙏

Dear Linda and Scotty,

I am very sorry for your loss! Praying for you both that our gracious Lord Jesus will bring you peace and comfort as you mourn Jack’s passing. I am grateful to have had the chance of meeting him. He was a warm and friendly person!
Please remember what we once enjoyed, we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us. May the beautiful memories you have help comfort you.

I am saddened to hear this news. We shared many good times which I cherish. I am praying for your strength during this very difficult time.

Jackie, Linda and Scotty and my family. Spent a lot of time together when the kids were little. We were both brothers and local 8, and I worked with Jackie a lot, and I worked for his dad, which was a great guy and taught me a lot. He will be missed. By me and my family, we were both Vietnam vets. And was in Vietnam at the same time. Although we didn’t serve in the same units, we shared a brotherhood like I say he will be missed

My condolence to Linda and the family. I have many memories of driving around south KC
with Jack and Jim Mosley and his parents having us all over for taco dinners when they lived on Blue Ridge. Good Times!

I went to high school with Jack at Ruskin. He was two years ahead of me, the infamous Class of 65! I didn’t get to know him in school, because “my car wasn’t fast enough!” A few years later, he was lucky enough to marry Linda. Someone had to try to keep him under the speed limit. Linda ultimately went to work for State Farm Insurance Company, and my father Frank was fortunate enough to have her as his secretary, for 25 years. That’s how my path crossed those of Jack, Linda and Scott(Scotty). Wonderful family! Always so helpful. You had to get up pretty early, to not have Jack with his dry sense of humor, put one over on you. He once had a dental appliance that needed a little repair.
Instead of him driving it all way down to Garden City, I suggested that he place it in a ziplock bag and drop it off at my mother’s, since she was coming down to see me. He called to tell me that she wasn’t home, so he just put it between the front door and storm door. When he came to the office to get it from me, he said “You know in many cultures, that could be considered a proposal for marriage.” I told him that I wouldn’t tell Linda.
Wonderful gentlemen who will truly be missed by all. I’m sure that he’s looking down right now and saying “Remember Bill, the hot water goes on the left!”

I was so sorry to hear of Jacks passing. An absolute pleasure to have him as a friend. Jack and I were in high school, Ruskin, at the same time. He was, however, two years ahead of me, in the infamous Class of 65. Ruskin was never the same. I didn’t get to know him there, because my car wasn’t fast enough. Years later he was fortunate enough to meet and marry Linda. Someone had to try.and keep him under the speed limit. Linda went to work for State Farm Insurance Company, and eventually, my father Frank, was fortunate enough to have her as his secretary for 25 years. That’s how my path crossed those of Jack, Linda and Scott(Scotty). What an incredibly nice and helpful family, all three. Jack sure got us out of some problems and didn’t matter when it was. You had to get up pretty early in the morning, to stay ahead of Jack and his constant dry sense of humor. He once had a dental apppliace that needed some work. I suggested that he drop it off at my mother’s house, since she was coming down to see me later that day, saving him a trip. He called me to say that she wasn’t there so that he just put it in a ziplock bag and left it between the front door and storm door. After I had it repaired, he came to pick it up. At that time he said, as only Jack could, “You know in many cultures, that would probably be interpreted as a proposal for marriage!” I told him that I wouldn’t tell Linda.
He will surely be missed by many. I feel confident that he is probably looking down right now and saying “Remember Bill, the hot water line is hooked up on the left!”
What a gentleman!
