Obituary

Jake was born on January 24, 2001, in Independence, Mo. He graduated from Blue Springs South high school in 2019. After high school, he attended Longview Community College. He was employed in the field of construction.

Jake was an energetic young man who enjoyed his work and the opportunity to learn. He learned his love for fast cars from his father.

His passing has left a hole in the hearts of his family.

Jake was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Ernest M. Baker Jr. and his cousin Brandon J. Johnson.

Jake is survived by his father Earnest M. Baker III (“Trip”), his mother Elizabeth Schmaltz (Tim), his brother Tyler Baker, his brother Wyatt Schmaltz, his paternal grandmother Sue C. Baker, maternal grandparents Louise and Anthony Sykes and aunts, uncles, and cousins.
