Obituary

Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Janet (Perry) Green, 82, of Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away on June 13, 2023, due to heart complications, with her family at her side.

She was born in Norfolk, VA, to James and Ada Mae Perry, the eldest of three daughters.  She loved growing up near the beach and spending time with her sisters, Norma and Dorothy.  She married her loving husband, Jerry, in 1972 and moved to Kansas City in 1978 when a job change brought them here.  She loved spending time with her family, reading, solving crossword puzzles, gardening, and nature.  She cherished time spent with her grandchildren and went to many of their sporting events, recitals, school programs and games.

Janet is preceded in death by her parents.  She is survived by her devoted husband, Jerry, of 51 years, her daughter, Debi Carlson, sons Kevin Green (Susannah) and John Ganahl; five grandchildren, Heather, Bailey, Amy, Josie and Maddox; two great-grandchildren, Sophia and Stella; sisters Norma Brinson and Dorothy Garcia; sister-in-law Judy Arnett (Nick) and many nieces and nephews.
