Obituary

Janet Suzanne Kirse, 70, of Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away December 2, 2021. Mass Services will be Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Presentation Catholic Church, Lee’s Summit, MO, with visitation starting at 11:00 AM and Rosery at 11:45 AM.
Janet was born September 7, 1951 in Kansas City, MO, to Joseph and Adeline Toczek. She graduated from Glennen High School in 1969. In 1991 she married John F. Kirse Jr. and they spent 30 years together. Jan and John were always together in everything they did. She worked for Havens Steel in Kansas City for 25 years. Jan loved being outdoors, flowers, plants and gardening and watching the birds.
She was preceded in death by her parents and step daughter, Leslie Swaters. Survivors include her husband of 30 years, John; son, Donald (Stacey) Solarski, Ann Solarski (Mike Motley); step sons, John F. (Jennifer) Kirse III, Michael Kirse, Daniel (Kathy) Kirse, and Patrick (Michele) Kirse; Siblings, Joseph Toczek, Johnny (Dolie) Toczek, Judi Chapman; sister-in-law, Kay (Don) Hamilton; grandchildren, Tyler Solarski, Connor Todd and Dylan Solarski; and all the Kirse step grandchildren, Nicholas, Benjamin, Christina, Laura, Emily, Sarah, Nathan (Eriko), Haley, Jacob Samuel, Samantha and Ashley.
Floral and Plant deliveries can be made directly to Our Lady of Presentation Church.
Everyone is invited to attend lunch following the services.
