Obituary
Jean Eleanor Harbison, 90, left this life on September 3, 2019. She was born June 29, 1929 in Vernon County, MO to William Werntz and Ora Vernon Graham and later stepdad, Selby Graham. Jean married her best friend and love Harley Hoyt Harbison. They were married for 58 wonderful years until he preceded her in death in 2007.
Jean drove a school bus for 21 years. Also while driving the bus, she was giving of her time and talents, whether that was sharing her home with family members or sewing. She made so many clothes and hemmed many dresses. Later, she started making quilts. She blessed many people with her quilts.
Jean was passionate about sports. When her grandkids came along, her heart was full. She enjoyed watching all kind of sports, but she was partial to the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs, even in their bad years.
Jean was a good friend to have, always willing to talk to you on the phone or run over and help in person. The one thing that never failed was her strong faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. No matter where she moved, she would always find a church and get involved.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Burris; husband, Harley Hoyt; son, Ricky L.; and daughter, Brenda Kitterman.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth and wife Angel; brother, Albert and wife, Jaylene; granddaughters, Lindsey and husband, Daniel Webster and Jaclyn and her husband Dylan Rohr, and Kelly Kitterman; grandson, Bradly and wife, Kady Kitterman; and many more relative and a host of friends.
Visitation will be Monday, September 9, 2019 at Langsford Funeral Home from 10-11am. Services will begin at 11am. Burial will follow at Floral Hills East Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gashland Baptist Church, 601 NE Barry Rd, Kansas City, MO 64155.

Jean was a wonderful friend to me. I looked forward to giving her a hug on Sunday mornings at church and visiting with her at her home or on the phone. I will miss her a lot.
