Obituary

Jay Brown, 47 of Kingsville, MO passed away on December 29, 2021. Services will be Friday January 7, 2022 at Langsford Funeral Home. Visitation will be 11:00 am to 1:00pm with funeral following at 1:00pm. Burial in Floral Hills East Cemetery, Lee’s Summit, MO.
Jay, “JayBird”, “Birdie” was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend and coach. He is survived by his wife, Lynn; his twin sons, Justin and Wesley; his parents Stephen Sr. and Terri Brown; his brother Stephen Jr. sister-in-law Ronda Brown and nephew Beaux and niece Faith Brown. He is also survived by his father and mother-in-law Danny and Leah Morehead along with sister-in-law Lori Martin, brother-in-law Doug Blodgett and nieces Madison and Grace Martin.
Jay was truly one of a kind who touched the hearts of everyone he met. His smile was contagious and his love of family, friends, sports, the outdoors, and music will always be remembered.

My prayers and heart go out to you and your family. I hadn’t seen Jay in years, but he was always such a happy guy and he will be missed by all.

I worked with Jay and Steve at Dunlap back in the late 90’s. So sorry to hear about this tragedy. I will be unable to attend on Friday, but my prayers are with you in this time of loss. If I can do anything, please let me know.

Jay had the most amazing smile. He would always stop and visit for a bit when he would stop in my store for something for one of the kids. My heart breaks for all of you. Holding you all in prayers for peace and comfort.

We are saddened to hear of the passing of Jay and are sorry for your loss. The lord got a great one. He will be missed. Our continued thoughts and prayers to all.

Words cannot express the sorrow I feel for the families, watched him grow up, I never heard a bad thing said about Jay.

I am so sorry about Jay, the heartbreak of this tragic loss is so sad and my heart goes out to all the families. I remember Jay and Steve as young boys in the Laurel Hills neighborhood and friends with my son. They played little league and everyone wanted to be on the team with Jay. Such a great guy! My sincerest sympathy and prayers to all whose lives he touched!
