Obituary

John L. Dunbar of Hermitage, MO went home to be with his Lord on June 24, 2020. John was born August 15, 1921 and would have been 99 on his Birthday. He was a well respected Home Builder in Kansas City for many years. John will be remembered as a sweet, gentle soul who loved his Lord and Savior. Everyone who knew John loved him dearly. He was a gentle giant. John enlisted in the Navy the day of Pearl Harbor to serve his country.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby (Tommie) Dunbar, his second wife, Anne DeWitt and a son. He is survived by three sons, Rick Dunbar (Kathy), Tim Dunbar (Kathy) and Craig DeWitt (LaVonne), numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family.

Grave side services will be at the Crescent Hill Cemetery in Adrian, Mo on July 17th at 10:00. A Celebration of Life will follow at a later date.

A special thank you to all of his Hermitage neighbors, Church friends , friends at the Wheatland Senior Center and the staff at Centerpoint Hospital in Independence, Mo.
