Obituary
Juan Carlos Caracciolo, 80, of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away peacefully at Kansas City Hospice House on Monday, Nov. 20th at 9:05pm. Juan Carlos was born on November 15, 1943, in Buenos Aires, Argentina the son of Frederico and Encarnacion Caracciolo.
Juan moved to New York City at the age of 24 where he worked as a newspaper delivery driver. Shortly after moving to New York, he met his wife Olga Rivera and married her on March 6, 1971.
Shortly after marrying, Juan moved to Atlanta, Georgia to raise his family and start his career in the railroad industry. In 1982 the family moved to Kansas City to continue Juan’s career with the railroad. He retired in 2006 and enjoyed his time with his wife in Lee’s Summit working on crossword puzzles, watching old movies, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of over 52 years, Olga Rivera Caracciolo; two children, Veronica Scott (husband Steve Scott) and Esteban Caracciolo; 3 grandchildren, Taylor, Shea, and Jake Scott, and sister Jorgelina Merino.
Celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 2 at 514 SE Adobe Drive from 1:00-3:00 pm.
