Obituary
On the night of March 8th, 2023, Jung K. Lee of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away at 73. Jung was born to Jae Ho and AE Soon Lee of Naju-si, Jeonnam, South Korea, in 1949.
After high school he served four years in the South Korean Air Force. When he completed his service in the military, he immigrated to the United States in 1972 for better opportunities. He completed two years of college at Missouri University, studying agriculture. After marrying his wife, Carol, in June of 1974, they moved to the Kansas City area. He worked as an assembly line worker at General Motors for 42 years. He loved to socialize with his buddies, play golf, always gave a helping hand when asked, and continually educated himself with new English words.
Survivors include his wife, Carol, of 48 years. Five children: Kathy Bockes (Garry) of Warrensburg, Missouri; Becky Wilson (Kevin) of Peculiar, Missouri; Diana Gross (Eric) of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; Donald Lee of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; and Richard Lee (Amber) of Greenwood, Missouri. Brother Lee Yeon Ok (Won Young) of Farmers Branch, TX, and sister Lee Young Ja of Naju-si, Jeonnam, South Korea. And many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
His parents and brother Lee Ki Sang preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held at Langsford Funeral Home from noon to 1 pm, followed by service on Wednesday, March 15th, 2023.

Heartfelt condolences to your family. It was such a long road, and even knowing he’s no longer in paid still leaves an empty place where he should be. Sending you all peace and comfort during this heartbreaking time.
Jung was such a wonderful neighbor, always knew he was there if anyone needed help! Carol and Jung together raised such an amazing family!
