Obituary
Kaydeen Rider, 72, died unexpectedly on April 15, 2026 at her home in Greenwood, MO. She was born February 3, 1954 in Oakland, CA the daughter of Virgil O. and Lizzie M. (Skaggs) Williams. She is survived by her brothers, Virgil, Jordan and Randy, her sons, Dustin (wife Erin) and Travis, and her granddaughters, Lura & Shea.
Kaydeen graduated from Fort Cobb High School in 1972 and married Walter “Tony” Rider that same year. As a single mother, she would complete Caddo Kiowa Area Vocational-Technical Center’s Practical Nursing program in 1982. Then in 1989, she would earn her Associate in Applied Science in Nursing at Seminole Junior College and focus in emergency room nursing for much of her career.
During the latter part of her career and a partially empty nest at home, Kaydeen became a traveling nurse exploring the United States. Though she enjoyed most of the places she worked at, one place stole her heart; Camp Loyaltown in Hunter, NY. She loved lavishing gifts and time on that special group of patients and staff. She was blessed to attend a reunion with many of her friends where they lavished their love on her one last time.
“Here comes Trouble,” was a turn of phrase announcing Kaydeen’s arrival. Her sons feel she never lived up to this nickname; at least not when they were around. They suspect any number of her friends could share a story or twelve. But who she was with her sons was a beautiful, loving, hard working woman who sacrificed nearly everything to make sure her boys had a chance in life.
Though she’s visited the volcanoes and beaches of Hawaii and the hobbits of Middle Earth by way of New Zealand, Kaydeen is returning to Anadarko, OK for interment with her family. She is no longer in pain and with her Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus.
