Obituary

Kelley Eugene Losher, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri passed away on January 4, 2024. He was 70 years old.  Kelley was born on January 23, 1953 in Kansas City, Missouri to Robert and Margaret Losher.

Kelley spent his early years living in Olathe, Kansas. He Later moved to Mount Vernon, Missouri with his family and graduated from Mount Vernon High School. He eventually moved back to Kansas and graduated from Pittsburgh State College in Pittsburg, Kansas with a degree in the arts.

Kelley was an accomplished artist and worked for many years at House of Lloyd in Kansas City and later at Hanna’s Handiworks in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

His joy in life was his family, friends, dogs and his art. He loved the Colorado mountains and visited there as often as he could. He was well known as a good friend who loved helping people.  He greatly enjoyed playing Santa Clause at Christmas for children and did so for many years.

Kelley loved people and had many friends and interests in life.  He was very much loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Kelley is preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Robert Losher. He is survived by one brother, Kirk Losher (wife Kelly), of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

Kelley requested cremation and his ashes to be scattered in the Colorado mountains.  He requested no services but there will be a celebration to be life announced at a later date.

Many thanks to the special friends and family who visited and spent time with Kelley in his last days. He was so appreciative for all the love and support.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri.

Kelley was such a unique soul and I will will miss him dearly, such a special person. The one thing I wish I could change is the time Ive had with all my cousins since I was a young boy, they are all so special.
