Obituary

Kenneth C. Hawkins, 91, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away at home on Thursday, October 28, 2021.
       A visitation will be held from 1-2 pm on Monday, November 1^st, at Langsford Funeral Home, Lee’s Summit, MO.  A procession to Floral Hills Cemetery, Kansas City, MO, will follow where there will be a graveside military service.
      Kenneth was born on June 26, 1930 near Stet, MO, the son of Grover and Martha Estle (Brock) Hawkins.  He married Velma L. Heil in Norborne, MO on October 10, 1953.  They celebrated 57 years together.  She preceded him in death on April 22, 2010.
      He was a Sergeant in the United States Army where he served honorably from March 1951 to March 1954.
      Kenneth was also preceded in death by his parents, brothers Orville Lee and Virgil Hawkins and sisters Viola Miller, Olivine Bales and Wilma Eichmann.
      He is survived by his companion, Janice Ridgley; children, Doug (Diane) Hawkins of Blue Springs, Lisa (Dan) Armstrong of Norborne, and Celia (Bob) of Overland Park, KS; grandchildren, Bill Middleton, Sara (Josh) Keiser, Mark (Megan) Armstrong, Michelle Coombs, Matthew Coombs, and Jana (Cody) Colgrove; great-grandchildren, Max and Mason Armstrong and Olivia and Liam Keiser.
