Obituary
Laura Belle Walker of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 23, 2021 at the age of 90. Mass services will be 10:00 AM Thursday July 1, 2021 at Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church in Lee’s Summit, MO. Visitation will be 6:00pm – 8:00 pm Wednesday evening at Langsford Funeral Home, Lee’s Summit, MO. Burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Laura attended North East High School in Kansas City, MO. and was very active with her alumnus well into her eighties. She retired from St Elizabeth Catholic School after 26 years of service. In 2013 she was inducted into the St Elizabeth’s Hall of Fame for having an amazing and positive impact through her dedicated contribution to the school and Parish. Laura enjoyed attending the YMCA in Independence and her Beaded Babe Club.
She is preceded in death by her husband Alvin Lee Walker and her parents, William Jr and Lovena Alexander.
She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law’s; Terry and Susan Walker, Randy and Beverly Walker, Ricky and Donna Walker and Timothy Chris Walker. Her grandchildren; Lacy Walker, Libby and Gabe Taube, Wade Smith, Alex and Molly Walker, Carrie Kalscheuer, Mark and Kimberly Walker, Ashley and Robert Roccio, and Lindsay Walker. Her great grandchildren; Lilah Walker, Skyler Taube, Atticus Taube, Jordan Walker, Landon Walker, Finn Roccio, Aubree Walker and Zoey Walker.

Your mom was always a bright spot at St. Elizabeth’s Parish. I just remember her always having a smile on her face and a kind word to impart. My first job after college was teaching first grade at St. E’s. I know your mom will be missed by all! May God bless each of you!
