Obituary

Leonard John Benbow, 62, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at home. Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 PM on Friday, November 1, 2019 at Langsford Funeral Home in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Leonard was born on August 14, 1957 in Newport Beach, California to Robert and Nancy (Schloesser) Benbow. He was a truck driver for Tempur Sealy. Leonard had many hobbies and things he loved to do including surfing, the beach life, laughing with his beloved wife Karen and friends, and living life.  Leonard and Karen dated while in high school in Costa Mesa, California and always remained close friends until they rekindled their relationship in 1999 after moving to Missouri and were soon married thereafter.

Leonard was preceded in death by his father and his wife, Bob and Nancy; and his mother and her husband, Nancy and Bob.

He is survived by his loving wife, Karen; step-son, Austin; sisters, Lorri of Kalamazoo, MI, Jeanette and husband Jamie of Ladera Ranch, CA ; brothers, John and wife Stasi of Seattle, WA, Jeff and wife Gail of Huntington Beach, CA; and nieces & nephews, Chelsea, Megan, Emily, Cody, Emma, Josh, Lexi, Tyler, and Jake.

I would like to extend my condolences to the of family and friends of Leonard Benbow. I work at BMC mattress a subsidiary to Tempur Sealy, I seen him frequently and I’m sorry to hear of his loss.
