Obituary

Linda (Larman) Terry, 72, of Lone Jack, Missouri, died peacefully on December 22, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on October 20,1953 in Kansas City, Missouri to John and Shirley (Harper) Larman.

Linda graduated from Lone Jack High School with the class of 1971. Following graduation, she married her high school sweetheart, Bill Terry. Two children were born of this union: Jenny (Terry) Johnson & Michael Terry. 

She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, daughter, and sister. She loved gardening, sewing, cooking, and baking. Spending time with her family was her favorite pastime, as they were her whole world, and she especially loved telling stories about them. With the love and support of her family along with her grit and determination, Linda fought health issues for the past nine years. She did so with dignity and grace. Linda will continue to be a true inspiration. She believed that nothing was impossible as long as you worked hard and had the right attitude.

Linda had many talents which enabled her to work in a variety of positions over her lifetime. She began her career as a hair dresser and for several years even owned her own salon. She later went on to work as a bus driver and para professional for the Lone Jack School District. She spent the rest of her career as an administrative assistant at the following companies: Roger Tilling Accounting, Lee’s Summit School District, John Knox Village, and The City of Lee’s Summit. 

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, John and Shirley Larman.

She is survived in death by Bill Terry of the home, her son Michael (Stacy) Terry of Lone Jack, MO, daughter Jenny (KC) Johnson of Lee’s Summit, MO, grandchildren Megan (Daniel Bose) Wallace of Bozeman, MT, Ryan Wallace of Independence, MO, Brett (Ryan) Terry of Sibley, MO, Brooke (Cameron) Cook of Kansas City, KS and great-grandchildren Molly Bose, Waylon Cook and Lainey Terry, as well as her siblings Bill (Donna) Larman, Nancy (David) Shrout, John Larman, and Kathy Moore and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held at Langsford Funeral Home in Lee’s Summit, Missouri on Monday, December 29, 2025. The Rosary will begin at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will take place from 6:15-8:00 p.m. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of The Presentation Church in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, the family is in the process of establishing a scholarship fund in Linda’s name. Details will be shared at a later date. Contact the family for further details.
