Obituary
On Saturday, January 7, 2023, Lynne Morrell, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away at the age of 93 in Lee’s Summit, MO, with her daughters at her side.
Lynne was a woman before her time, she loved working and succeeded in whatever she did, including raising five daughters. She retired at the age of 75 after owning her own businesses, and becoming #1 salesperson at Saks Fifth Avenue in Atlanta, GA before moving to Kansas City and continuing her career at Yates Furniture, DuVall’s, Wolf Brothers, Swansons and finally retiring at Jacobson’s as their Super Star.
Lynne was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Morrell, daughters Lauren Helmstetter and Genalee Burnam. She is survived by daughters, Lisa Dusselier (Mike) of Alpine, WY, Vicki Gutman of Cape Coral, FL and Cynthia Morrell of Lee’s Summit, MO. Grandchildren, Steve Ginestra (Leeanne), Brandon Burnam (Laura), Samantha Dryman (Adam), Sean Dusselier (Stephanie), Alexa Dusselier Hoover (Chevis), Amanda Gutman and many great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at the Lee’s Summit Cemetery on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at 11am. In lieu of flowers please donate to: Hope Hospice of Fort Myers, Hope Development Dept., 9470 Health Park Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908 or hopehcs.org/donate.
