She met and married the love of her life while she was attending nursing school at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Following a short time living in Raytown, Marlene and Carroll made their home in Lee’s Summit with their two daughters, Linda and Cindy.
Mom loved spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the social sorority, Beta Sigma Phi in her earlier years and was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Mom and Dad loved to play cards with close friends and following both of their retirements from AT&T, they enjoyed many trips around the United States with family and friends.
