Obituary

Mary Ann (Birnel) Scheidt  passed away surrounded by loving family members, on June 6, 2020.  She was born

June 9, 1933, so the family had a private Celebration of Life on her 87th birthday, June 9, 2020.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, of 63 years, Clark Scheidt; her son Henry Scheidt and her sister

Betty Danner.

Surviving family are her son, Richard Scheidt (wife Cindy); daughter Vicki Murray (husband Troy); daughter-in-law

Sherry Scheidt; grandson Kris Scheidt (wife Dana); grandson Aaron Scheidt (wife Kristie); granddaughter Kortney Borer

(husband Dave); grandson Melvin Dunsworth (wife Morgan); grandson Jason Dunsworth; grandson Clinton Dunsworth;

granddaughter Alicia Lenzini; grandson Justin Scheidt (wife Cassie); 25 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren;

nephew Dennis Danner.

Mary lived independently in an apartment at John Knox Village, Lee’s Summit. Missouri, when a fall on Easter Sunday

resulted in a broken hip.   She was an amazing woman of God with incredible strength through her faith.  All those that

knew her heard about her love of Jesus and HIS love for us, as she would boldly declare it over and over.

We, the family, believe God granted her one last miracle — the strength to rehab herself just enough to be discharged from the

nursing home so that she could say her goodbyes in person, just 13 days later!  She was not about to let COVID have the

final say over her passing!
