Obituary

Mary Catherine Talmadge passed away on October 28 at her home in Lee’s Summit, MO. Visitation will be Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Lone Jack Baptist Church, from 10-11am. Services will begin at 11am and burial in High Ridge Cemetery in Stanberry, MO at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Lone Jack Baptist Church for the orphanage Haiti Home of Hope.

Catherine was born in Gentry County, MO on April 11, 1935 to Earl and Zoe Tullis and became the little sister to Earl (Bub), Geraldyne, Dorothy, and Bill. Her little brother, Richard, would join the family six years later. Catherine met Gordon Talmadge as a freshman in high school and after she graduated they were married on July 18, 1954. Steven Duane was born August 9, 1955 and Kathy Lynn was born May 25, 1957. She devoted her life to her Lord, her family and loving and serving others. She was intentional in her love and investment in people and leaves a legacy of faith and an example for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends. Psalm 103:17 “From everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children–with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts.”
