Obituary
Mary Maye Grafton, also known as Mazie, passed away on January 12, 2024, at the age of 99 in Kansas City, MO. She was born on February 3, 1924, in Bakersfield, Missouri. Mazie was a spunky, resourceful, determined, prayerful, and loving individual.
Mazie is survived by her sons, Steve Grafton and wife Tara, and Earnie Grafton and wife Eiko. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Chase, Taylore, Sean, Steven, and Mia, as well as seven great-grandchildren. Mazie was preceded in death by her husband, Rolla R. Grafton, and her daughter, Joyce Marie Grafton.
Mazie dedicated her life to being a homemaker, creating a warm and loving environment for her family. She found joy in gardening and sewing, hobbies that brought her fulfillment and relaxation.
Mazie worshipped at the First Baptist Church of Raytown, where she found spiritual guidance and community.
A visitation will be held at Langsford Funeral Home in Lee’s Summit, MO, at 10:00am, followed by a service at 10:30am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Arthritis Foundation, Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, or the Missouri Baptist Childrens Home, organizations that were close to Mazie’s heart.
Interment will be at Murray Cemetery in Willard, MO.

Maxie was a great lady and friend. She has gone home, where we all long to be. Her suffering is over and she has the seen face of Jesus Christ in all his glory, also Rolla and Joyce which she longed for.
She will never be forgotten.
Steve and Earnie, sincerest condolences on the loss of your mother. I loved her dearly. She was a lovely, wonderful person and great neighbor and friend to my mom. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
