Obituary
Matthew (Matt) Alan Denker, 43, of Garden City, MO, passed away October 20, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital on the Plaza. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM, Monday, October 25, 2021 at Langsford Funeral Home, 115 SW 3rd, Lee’s Summit, MO 64063. Burial in Floral Hills East Memorial Gardens, Lee’s Summit, MO. A visitation will be 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Langsford Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rylen and Olivea Denker Educational Fund. Matt was born February 6, 1978 in Independence, MO. He was an Engineer Operations Manager at Progress Rails. Matt graduated Lee’s Summit High School in 1996. He received an Associates Degree from Vatterott College: Program Logic Control.
Matt married Anjelina Escalante Denker on November 30, 2013. He loved deer hunting and the great outdoors. His girls were his world. He rode bulls when out of high school but never made it to 8 seconds. He loved blues music, heavy metal and Stevie Ray Vaughn. He also loved weight lifting.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Pat and Wilbur Reagan, Hugo and Paula Denker; Uncle Chris Reagan and Uncle Mike Oyler.
Survivors include wife, Anjelina Denker; daughters, Alicia Breeden, Rylen Denker, Olivea Denker and stepson Tyler Tucker; parents, Dennis and Linda Denker; brothers Tim (Amy) Denker, Ben (Angela) Denker; nephews Jacob and Joshua Denker, Carson Denker; niece Audrey Denker and many uncles, aunts and cousins.

I have no words. We loved Matt and will miss him everyday he is not with us. He is now free from all the equipment and flying high in the sky. 🙏🙏😢

This just doesn’t seem real. I haven’t seen or spoken to Matt in a long time but we grew up a few streets apart. You always knew when Matt was in a room because of his laugh. He was a good person and he will be missed. My heart goes out to his family.
