Obituary

Michaela Dawn Horn-Oeffner, 27, died unexpectedly on Sunday June 4th after a short stay in the ICU. She was brought to the hospital by ambulance unresponsive.  She was determined to have a significant brain hemorrhage from which she did not recover. She was surrounded by her adoptive family, biological family and friends at the time of her passing.  Michaela was a registered organ donor and donated both kidneys, saving two separate lives.

She was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend. She was a member of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska. She was known as a free spirit with a passionate energy for life. She loved all living things.

So many people loved Michaela at all stages of her life. We want to thank those who loved her, prayed for, supported, and encouraged her. She had a difficult life, but her impact on those she loved is still felt.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 9, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. with a visitation starting at 5:00 p.m. at Langsford Funeral Home.

Arrangements by Langsford Funeral Home, 115 SW 3rd Street, Lee’s Summit, MO 64063

I’m so sorry for your loss. I loved her and spent a good amount of time with Michaela Dawn. I first met her when she was just a few days old. The most beautiful it baby I had ever seen even till this day. She was bundled all about in pink and so tiny and smelled like heaven. I can remember her toddler years and they make me smile and I remember the last 8 years that ispent around her. She could be so silly at time and so loving as well and also stubborn. But thru every stage I loved her. Rest in peace baby girl I love you and swill miss you untill we meet again

So sorry to hear this , my prayers are with you all, and Michaela, you will be missed, and I miss you already! I love you baby beauty, I will see you again , and Peace To You And Your Whole Family, Sincerely, Cole Everett Wells III
