Obituary
Monika Abbott, 69, passed away on March 5, 2018 at her home from natural causes. Visitation will be Wednesday March 14, 2018 from 11:30-12:30pm at the LDS Chapel, 850 Southeast Blue Parkway, Lee’s Summit, MO 64063. Services will begin at 12:30pm. Burial will follow at 2:30pm at Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org). Monika was born September 9, 1948 in Germany. She was woman of great compassion and lived her life in service of others. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Benjamin Abbott; and parents, Karl and Elizabeth Lenhart. Survivors include her children, Rodney (Jennifer) of North Carolina, Mike (Robbin) of Missouri, and Elisabeth (Tye) of Arizona; 6 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. .
I love Aunt Monika. She is such a lovely person. Always had a smile and a hug. She loved everyone. She was the only person that I was okay to let call me Krissy. She is going to be greatly missed. You all are in my prayers.
I was saddened to hear of the passing of Monika. She was a beautiful lady. Such a sweet soul. Monika’s Family is in my thoughts and prayers!
