Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Pamela G. Hocker, who left this world on March 5, 2025, in Harrisonville, MO. Born on November 11, 1952, in Independence, MO, Pamela lived a life full of love, generosity, and dedication to her family and community. Pamela was the beloved daughter of Roy John Rogers and Irma Jean Myers, and grew up beside her sister Terry Susan Rogers and brother Steve Allen Rogers. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Terry Hocker, and her cherished son, Aaron Hocker. Pamela’s enduring spirit and unwavering love will continue to resonate through her surviving family: her devoted daughter, Tammy Hocker; her five adoring grandchildren, Madison Becklean, Paige Hocker, Hope Dietrich, Jackson Dietrich, and Emery Dietrich; and her two great-grandchildren, Ruby Long and Myla Long. Pamela met her husband, Terry, at a dance at the American Legion Hall in Drexel, MO. Their love blossomed, leading to a beautiful marriage that spanned 40 years, until Terry’s untimely passing due to multiple myeloma cancer. Together, they built a life rich in love and family, raising their two children in an environment filled with warmth and compassion. Pamela began her journey into the workforce at just 16 years old, taking her first job at Irene’s Harvest House in Harrisonville, MO. Her passion for antiques emerged in 1985 when she opened a booth at Greenwood Antique Mall, which led to a 20-year tenure managing the store. Her keen eye for beautiful objects and her dedication to preserving pieces of history was a testament to her appreciation of the past. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Pamela was known for her generous spirit. She was the most giving person anyone could meet, willing to lend a hand or share a kind word with anyone in need. Her warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, and her memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. In her later years, Pamela found joy in gardening and scrapbooking, activities that allowed her to create lasting memories with her grandchildren. She also held a special place in her heart for the card game Pitch, which she loved to play with friends and family, often filled with laughter and stories. Pamela will be honored at a funeral service on March 22, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Langsford Funeral Home located at 115 SW Third St., Lee’s Summit, MO, where friends and family are invited to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Scleroderma Foundation, a cause close to Pamela’s heart. As we remember Pamela G. Hocker, let us carry forward her legacy of love, generosity, and the importance of family. She may have departed from this earthly realm, but her spirit will remain in the hearts of those she touched, forever a guiding light in our lives.

Pamela will be missed. We all enjoyed playing cards with Pam and Terry until the wee hours of the night. We laughed and tried our best to beat each other. I’ve lost a friend, but I know she will be with Aaron dairy safe journey, Pam.
I’m so sorry about Pam’s passing and know her family will miss her love, kindness and generosity. Rest in Peace.

What a beautiful picture of Pam. This was so elegantly written. I’ve known Pam for about 35 years. She was very friendly to me once when I was going thru a rough patch. She called me and demanded I come over. She wouldn’t let me sit home alone on the 4th of July!! She was a true gem. She loved her family passionately. She’s free now to reunite with Terry and Aaron.
My condolences to the family. Pam introduced us to Abundant Life Church many years ago and it’s been our church home ever since. Prayers for the family during this difficult time.
Pam was such an amazing person! Always kind, always willing to help anyone! She will be missed! I miss her and uncle Terry, the card games, the laughs!
