Obituary

Patricia (Pat) F. Burch, 67, Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away peacefully in her sleep the morning of, Tuesday, September 29, 2020.

Pat was born October 30, 1952, in Norwood, MO. She started the most important path to her immediately following high school by marrying her lifelong love Michael Wayne Burch and starting their family. They had two children daughter Treva Ann Wittmeyer (Burch) and son Travis Dale Burch. Pat’s family was her number one priority and it always came first. Even when the family expanded she took in her son-in-law Scott Wittmeyer and daughter-in-law Rebecca Burch (Cosner) as if they were her own. When the grandkids came along you knew that on Friday nights they were always going to be with their Mama Pat and Papa Mike, sometimes extending through the weekend. Pat was the heart and soul of the family and was the caregiver to everyone her whole life. She was the most selfless person anyone will ever meet.

Pat worked various jobs over the years, but her career and work family was during her long career as a Senior Reissue Specialist for Kansas City Life Insurance.

She is survived by her two children and their spouses Treva and Scott Wittmeyer, and Travis and Rebecca Burch all of Greenwood, MO. Grandkids Tyler Wittmeyer (Sydney Sampel), Allison Paul (Bradley), Taylor Burch (Zachary Dillman), and Ryan Burch, three great grandkids Weston Davis, Dawson and Peyton Paul, brothers Dean, Bill, and Jackie Coday, and a very large extended list of family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Michael Burch, parents Othel “Jack” & Esther (McIntosh) Coday, brother Bobby Coday, sister JoAnn Coday.
