She was born December 20, 1926, on a farm homesteaded by her father, near Weskan, Kansas. She was the daughter of Ed and Zona Watt.

She married Donovan Charles Lenhart February 20, 1946. He was a career military member which meant moving frequently, including a three year assignment in Germany. She never found a place she disliked and made many good friends along the way. After her husband’s retirement in California, she worked as secretary to the 4th Air Force Inspector General at Hamilton Air Force Base, Marin County, California. When the base closed she worked as secretary to the Adjudication Officer at the Veterans Administration Regional Office in San Francisco, California.

She was a quilter, loved to read, work jigsaw puzzles, and cross word puzzles. She was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxillary.

She and Donovan were married 63 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, father, mother, and brother, John Watt. Survivors include one son, Edwin Lenhart and wife Anna; grandson, Mark Lenhart of Petaluma, California; daughter, Jennifer Stowell; granddaughter, Dawn Schaff of Peculiar, Missouri; one sister, Mable Wilton of Hoisington, Kansas; a sister-in-law, Marian Watt of Idaho; a sister-in-law, Berthile Harrop of Portland, Oregon; and a number of nieces and nephews.
